Patients for Patient Safety Network Asia Pacific, an initiative by PAIR, is a network of stakeholders, including patients and patient advocates, aligned with the WHO’s flagship on Patient Safety that focuses on making healthcare safer in the Asia-Pacific region by supporting Strategic Objective 4: Patient and Family Engagement of the Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–30.

HYPERTENSION ADVOCACY PROJECT INDIA


The Hypertension Advocacy Project- India (HAPI) completed its project duration in September 2023 fulfilling the three objectives outlined in the project:

  • To influence policy makers and other key stakeholders by convening a national roundtable discussion.
  • To work towards embedding patient voices within professional networks, thereby elevating their perspectives, and ensuring their active participation in healthcare decision making processes.
  • To identify key challenges and opportunities for Hypertension control, create awareness amongst key stakeholders and identify steps to create robust referral pathways and care continuum collaborations.
